„Thump!“: a hard knock
At the beginning, there was Oliver Borowski (South Africa/Germany) and Carole Deborde ( France) and they just wanted to be foolish. So with this similar desire ‚ ‚Théâtre Thump!’ was born in Berlin Germany in 2008. Since August 2009 however we have settled in Bordeaux, quartier St.Michel, France.
Our theatre style is one of simplicity which rests upon a slow work tempo, as well as on human and artistic meetings.
Our foolishness is sometimes grotesque and absurd with the play of masks, or sometimes with play of the Charlatan, however always with the play of the clown and couched in a narrative.
We wish to share our love for foolishness and therefore our short format suits the street or small OFF-theatres.
In October 2009 we joined the artist collective: ‚Garage Lezarts’ in Lestiac near Bordeaux.
